Eep!
I cannot believe it went so long without my blogging again. I truly intended to keep at it the last time I posted. Since then I've been stitching some again. I've got RRs to catch up on. It's going slow though because I've completely lost feeling in my little and ring finger and am wearing a brace on that hand. I'm waiting to hear from the doctor about a nerve conduction test to see if I'm going to have surgery or not. I am determined to get myself healthy! I've been walking on the treadmill and Husband has set up a training bike for me. I'll start riding the bike this week in the evenings. As it is I'm already getting up before 5:30 to walk. We saw a nutritionist today to help with both our health needs. I found out I'm not eating enough! What a shock that was. I'll post puppy and stitching pictures soon. I have a bunch of puppy pictures.

FAS Day 10 & Puppies!

Okay, so I lied and didn't post a progress picture when I said I would. Nothing's changed since that day since I've been too pooped to stitch. While I did put FAS away, I've yet to pull out Justine. I'm doing that this evening though.

Here's the latest photo session of the puppies. Notice how they're always sitting on that green "sofa?" That's a futon sofa in my office where I obviously spend way too much time. They can't stand for me to be out of their sight.

The closeup of Harley shows her sticking out her tongue, which she's been doing a lot lately. It's a teeth issue. We've been finding baby molars around the house, and I even found one of her lower canine's on the bed. Her top canines haven't fallen out but the adult teeth have started coming in and she looks like an uber-vampire-dog when she bares her teeth. If they don't fall out by the time I have her spayed, I'll have them pulled by the vet.

Being photogenic is really hard work.

My job is killing me
Okay, not really, but being back to work, even just half-time, is really wearing me out. Last week I took a nap every afternoon when I got home. I’m going to try to NOT nap this week. I got very little stitching done and what stitching I did do was on French Alphabet Sampler. I was just too tired to fiddle with changing projects. I’m trying to get myself into more of a normal routine this week and will be changing to Justine today when I get home. Maybe doing that will keep my mind off taking a nap! LOL No progress picture right now, but when I get home this afternoon and switch over, I’ll post a progress picture then.
Bandit is perfectly happy with me not being home as much. More sleeping time for him, but Harley is missing me. I can tell by the clothes she’s dragging out of the hamper. They’re all mine. I think it’s the perfume since it’s just my tops. She’s such a sweetie, even though I talk about her bad habits. Every morning when I get out of the shower she’s thrilled to see me like I’ve been gone all day. She will roll over and “ask” for her pink tummy to be scritched. Boss gave me 3 mylar helium balloons as a welcome back and she's having a blast dragging them around the house by the strings. Bandit is scared to death of them and will jump in my lap or hide under my desk when she gets to going with them.
Tomorrow is Husband’s 50th birthday. He’s like a good bottle of scotch and has aged very well. I’ve already given him his birthday gift, but we’ll probably be going out to dinner tomorrow evening.

RR stitching

Not much to report on the stitching front. I received this round of Quaker RR I'm participating in and had 1 week to get it stitched. It was supposed to be mailed today, but I'll do it tomorrow on the way home from work. This is from Quaker Style Friendship Sampler by Samplers and Such. On two more people to stitch for and then they come home.
Yep, work. Tomorrow will be my first time back to work after surgery. It's hard for me to believe I've been off for 2 months. My last day of work was December 8. This is really going to cut into my stitching time! LOL
Since I spent the weekend catching up on the RR, I'm working on French Alphabet Sampler today instead of Castle Sampler.
These are my two lazybones. Bandit loves to get under the comforter and sleep. We don't even bother pulling it up all the way anymore because he just musses it all up anyway. Harley has the puppy metabolism going on and she gets too hot under there but she MUST be as close to Bandit as she can be so she practically lays on top of him, just on top of the comforter. Right now I have the blinds open in the bedroom and the sun is shining on the bed. They're both sprawled out sunbathing.
I received my Valentine from Husband. He bought me a new iPod Shuffle, in my fave color. I'm probably the only person I know who didn't have an iPod something or other. He even got it engraved "Chocolate for your ears"

Justine Day 17, Harley and RRs
My doctor appointment went pretty much as I expected. I'm off work this week and will be returning 3 mornings a week next week, for 2 weeks, then I'll gradually increase my daily working hours until I'm back full time. Boss is ready for me to get back.
It's absolutely beautiful outside today and I was able to capture a picture of Harley that shows how much she's looking less and less like a fat puppy and more and more like a skinny IG. She's such a stinker and when she's not sleeping she's pestering Bandit or getting into something. All of her adult teeth are poking through her gums now so she's chewing less, thank goodness.

For some reason I had a hard time concentrating on Justine last week, so I didn't get as much stitching done as I would have liked. I think it might be because I sort of dislike stitching those sparse looking little trees and unfortunately there are several of them on pages 7-8. This progress picture is of what I got done compared to the detailed photo I showed when I finished the week before last.
Working on Justine with Vikki Clayton silks has made me change my mind about using them on Houses and Village of Hawk Run Hollow. I don't think I'm going to have enough of a couple of colors on Justine and I'm concerned about dye lots, especially since I experienced it with The Token. They're both large designs and I just don't want to chance it. I'm going to use the recommended NPI instead and since I'm in no great hurry to start either design so I will just purchase a few at a time when someone has them on sale.
Today is the first mail date of the Spot RR I'm participating in. I chose a 28ct stitch band and I'm not really caring what type of spots are stitched, but have requested no quaker type medallions since I already have a couple of my own designs, plus a RR, that contains them. There are 6 of us participating.
Today is Castle Sampler day, but I don't feel like pulling it out. Actually, I don't feel like stitching at all right this moment.
