Looks like we're going "new car" shopping today for Husband. He wants to drive down to San Diego and test drive some lease returns. The weather is beautiful today and I'm looking forward to the road trip.
During my absense from here I looked for a new place for us to live. The neighbors have gotten that unbearable. Anyway, I found a beautiful place but we didn't take it because Husband didn't like the way the front yard looked. Said it was the tackiest house in the neighborhood. People, these houses sell for $400,000 easy! The front yard didn't have a tree in it (where's that rolling eyes smiley guy when you need him?) and the rest of the houses did. While we were looking for a domicile, we found out yuk neighbors will be leaving in June. We're going to stay where we are for now but Husband is going to "pay" dearly for my patience. (He really wants to move more than me because he wants to get completely away from the Marine Corps when he's not at work).
In addition to car shopping today we're going to stop by a nursery and get some landscaping information for our front yard. I hate our front yard because it's so wet by the house and everything we've planted dies. We're going to get "expert" advice, not "husband" advice and plant it up properly.
And my bird....remember my bird. You know the one I STILL DON'T HAVE because we were looking to move and we needed to wait. We're going to take care of that little problem really soon as well.
Wow, I feel so much better now! Venting is good for a girl's soul.
The Stitcher's Five from Jen :)
1. When did you first start stitching? 1976/77.
2. How long have you been stitching? Off and on since I first began.
3. Did someone teach you or did you teach yourself? My best friend's future MIL taught me to stitch.
4. Describe your first project (if you can remember!). I still have it! It's a wishing well with a verse. It's the ugliest colors in the world, done on aida and had masking tape around the edges. Oh we foolish newbies! LOL
5. When did you first realise that stitching was for you? Probably as soon as I finished my first design. I remember being so proud that I actually made it! My father paints and I had always wanted to be artistically talented because he did such wonderful things with paint and paper. He calls it my painting with string and is fascinated by the process.
