Office Christmas parties. They can be such a PITA. Can't anyone just have fun and not stress about gift exchanges, etc.? It's not like you can buy a life changing gift with $10 or can you? I drew the one person I work with that I cannot stand, but am acting the adult and bought a nice gift, a beautiful jar full of chocolates. I've been informed (by my supervisor) that my recipient does not like chocolate so I'm sure the recipient is going to think I knew this and bought them just to be spiteful. Oops, I'm stressing.
Another work announcement. I kinda, sorta, got a promotion. Not in position, but in hours a week. All this year I've worked 1-8 p.m. Monday - Thursday. I close the store and am usually out of there at 7:40. Starting January I'll be working 1230-8 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 7:15 a.m.-close on Friday. I'll miss my Friday since I sit on my behind and catch up with my stitching, get my nails done, etc., but I'll sure enjoy the extra money another 8 hours will bring. In fact I'm going to enroll in a FOTM club for the first time ever!
Still no stitching. sigh.
The winds are blowing again. It's keeping the air crispy cool and full of soot from the fires we had.
10:22 A.M.
I've been playing on the computer all morning trying to set down to paper what my stitching goals are for 2004. Rather frightening what I've got on the go already and I'm determined to get some old beloved WIPs back into my rotation.
