I had jury duty today. Can you believe it? 2 days before Christmas and on a Tuesday. The case was continued so I'm considered as a juror served and won't be called again for one year. It's not noon and I have the rest of the day to do whatever I want, since I'm off work and being paid for jury duty. Merry Christmas to me.

Remember that office Christmas party? It was this past Friday. Wasn't really a party since we just ate all day and never stopped to "party" as a group. We were very busy at work since it was the last day of school. Kids were in buying testing supplies and selling their books back. It was virtually non-stop from open to close and a small group even stayed behind an hour after we closed to get organized for Monday. Anyway, we did the gift exchange. I received a gift card to Cold Stone and a cyclamen plant. Beautiful pinky/red color. The person I was to give to didn't come in, nor did she come to work yesterday. I'm not there today. I guess I'll try again tomorrow.

Still no stitching.

Oh, and it's raining.

Finished reading Lord John and the Private Matter by Diana Gabaldon.
Started reading Cold Case by Stephen White
